If you know something Ipe wood is really an impressive forest. Janka is rated over 3600, becoming one of the densest forests that are currently available on the market floor. Ipe has a lot of very positive characteristics, but also has its problems!
It is so dense that even with a marginal place finish applied to the surface, most spills will put on top instead of penetrating below. And survives abuse dogs, 100 pounds of mutton with limited signs of wear.
IPE Hardwood flooring is mentioned by many names, depending on country of origin and thereby the ground.
